SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich.

From Pain to Parenthood: A Journey Through Miscarriage to Adoption by Michigan author Deanna Kahler has been named the winner in the Parenting/Family category of the 2015 Beverly Hills Book Awards. This is Kahler's second award in less than a year for her memoir/self-help book.

The book details Kahler's heartfelt and emotional journey to become a mother - from her devastating miscarriages to the eventual adoption of her daughter. In addition to sharing her personal experiences, she also provides coping strategies and resources for those facing similar circumstances.

"My goal has always been to touch lives and offer hope and inspiration to others," said Kahler. "Earning this award shows that my efforts are being acknowledged."

The prominent International Beverly Hills Book Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in book publishing. Books are evaluated on writing, design, promotional text and other aesthetic components.

Since its release in May 2013, From Pain to Parenthood has received many accolades, including multiple awards and several five-star reviews, as well as feedback from readers who have been touched and encouraged by Kahler's story.

The book retails for $13.95 and is available at amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and in select Michigan bookstores. It is also available at the Shelby Township and Romeo libraries, as well as in several libraries throughout the country.
