SAN JOSE, Calif.

When the starship Destiny's navigation computer suffers a mysterious error, the spacecraft and its crew of space colonists are taken off their pre-planned course and find themselves lost in deep space. In David F. Snider's new novel, "Stars in the Deep: Destiny" (published by Xlibris), the colonists must struggle to survive in uncharted space with barely any hope of completing their mission or returning home.

The colonists were on their way to a meticulously pre-surveyed and parceled world selected for human habitation, but the aforementioned technical failure forces them to seek out a different planet, one that must be surveyed and colonized from scratch. While the story is set in the distant future, on a strange world light years away from Earth, it nonetheless explores timeless and universal themes of love, hope, justice, forgiveness, mercy, human spirituality with its potential parallels.

Snider takes his readers on a fantastic voyage to the furthest reaches of outer space in order to delve into inner space and explore the human condition.
