"Checked Out" is a sequel to the critically acclaimed novel "Blood Feud"; sharing the same protagonist, Russell Riley. In this second novel, the philandering CEO of an 80-store food chain is gunned down mafia style in his tony east side Providence mansion near Brown University. The nephew of the fallen executive offers Riley the job as CEO of Food Basket. At a cursory glance, Russell Riley has major misgivings that this business can survive, but he just can't help himself-he accepts the CEO position, and so the next chapter begins.

"Harris spins a rousing whodunit set in the lucrative supermarket business in this second series installment."
Kirkus Reviews

Money laundering, mayhem, and murder are obstacles which Riley has to step around to successfully repair the damage to this under-performing business. Russ does notice that the former CEO's wife, a stunning looking woman 30 years younger than her deceased husband, appears to be doing a minimum of grieving.

"I loved "Checked Out", a worthy successor to "Blood Feud": plenty of action, an interesting plot, peppered with that Harris humor."
Steve Ackerman, Editor The Readers Exchange

Readers who wish to purchase"Checked Out" can find it at bookstores everywhere or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
