Connote, a new marketing thought leadership magazine, launches today online and in print. The publication is a collaborative effort between Dallas agencies D Custom, Freeman + Leonard, and Levenson Group and will be published three times a year.

The premiere issue is centered around the theme of growth, and features ways that a chief marketing officer and their team can own the growth strategy for their company. The cover stories highlight the importance of data strategy according to CMOs like Bob Fair from Teradata and Tom Santora from Omni Hotels & Resorts, the dynamics of a CMO onboarding a new CEO, organic growth at companies like Zappos and McDonalds, and the story of an animation studio that is poised to be the next Pixar.

"The premise behind Connote is that great marketing connotes business growth," says Gordon Locke, president of D Custom and editor-in-chief of Connote. "My colleagues Kathy Leonard, Stan Levenson, and Robert McEnany share my passion for 'what's next' in the marketing world, which is why we wanted to create a new publication that highlights new ideas, emerging thinking, and insights on game-changing marketing."
