It is the very humanness of my soul that this does sever,
And the fact that I am scared of You causes me much grief.
I want to be totally Yours,
And trust in You when life seems dead.
For I know in my heart and soul that for all things good, You are the cause.
I pray that from this very moment by You I will be led.

The author's aims are fundamental, conceived to address the troubles that often plague Christians on their wordly paths: "Life often presents us with troubles. It is during these times when God seems so far away, and life is such a mess that I find it more important than ever to call out to Jesus...Nobody knows for sure what life will bring them and even though our tears may seem to fall uselessly on the floor, I truly believe Angels gather up our sorrows and present them before The Lord...It is my simple prayer that by sharing these poems your life may somehow be enriched."
