For Pearl and Peabody Pearson, raising two younglings is no walk in the park. The world is a dangerous place and their children are extremely fragile; to top it all off, they live on a wicker chair. "Doves On My Porch: A Nana and Nono Runabout Adventure" (published by AuthorHouse), a new book by Connie Ramsey Venturin, takes readers on a delightful journey as they watch Pearl and Peabody, two doves, raise their new hatchlings.

"Doves On My Porch" follows Nana and Nono, an older couple who love animals. The two are tested when a pair of doves lay eggs on their porch, requiring the care of Nana and Nono.

Giovanni Galileo Giuseppe Gustavo, a smooth talking glow worm, along with Snizzy the snail and other critters, will help Nana and Nono take care of the dove eggs. The group will learn that doves, much like humans, require a great amount of care and love. Throughout the entire story, Snizzy guides the reader, making sure they don't miss a beat.

"Doves are not unlike humans with respect to nurturing their offspring and helping each other in times of need," Venturin writes.

Venturin hopes to entertain and educate children as they get to know the characters, all of which are set to make a return in her unwritten second book of the Nana and Nono Runabout Adventure series.
