Ingonish is a Canadian rural community in Nova Scotia, Canada and located along the northeast coast of Cape Breton Island. Ingonish is situated on the Cabot Trail approximately 60 kilometers from the shire town of Baddeck.

"The Squirrels Who Came To Stay" (published by Xlibris) written by author Cindy Black tells the story of how squirrels came to stay in one of the oldest houses in Ingonish. Winter is approaching and Scruffy has to find a safe place for his family. Missy, his wife is about to give birth to their babies and was worried that Scruffy will not find a home for them before everything is covered in snow.

Scruffy finds one of the oldest houses in the community where Darrell and Cherrie live. He made his move while the couple takes a last minute walk outside before the snow stuck to the ground. Will Scruffy find a nice, warm and comfortable room inside the house for his family? How will Cherrie react if she sees the squirrels?

"The Squirrels Who Came To Stay" is based on a true story and will provide fun and laughter from the whole family. The author thinks that this book will appeal to readers because kids will like to hear that squirrels can sometimes live inside one's house.
