It traces the life-changing journey of the slaves who, after being displaced from their homeland and separated from their families, were forced into a new life in Cuba and the Americas. Two centuries later a series of bizarre circumstances causes their descendants to cross paths in London. What will become of this strange meeting?

James complied by raising his right palm with the fingers spread out before his eyes.

"There is an unseen sixth finger directing the affairs of these visible five." Towerman paused to look across the Thames at Big Ben's fourteen-foot minute hands creeping towards twelve, while the nine-foot short hands shied away from twelve toward one. "What do you make of what you are seeing, James?"

The younger man was not sure whether the old man was referring to his outspread fingers or the fingers of Big Ben on the opposite bank of the Thames. "I don't uhm . . . uhm . . . under-understand, sir," he stammered.

About the Author
Chux Onyenyeonwu started writing at the Oko Federal Polytechnic, where he was a pioneer student in banking. He got his first job as an aide to one of Africa's richest men, which gave him the rare opportunity to travel and work in England and the USA. Onyenyeonwu resides in his Paradise Gardens country home in the outskirts of Lagos with his wife and three children. His favorite hobby is travelling to see the world with his family.
