Catherine Sistrunk Tobin invites young readers to "The Perfect Raisin & Pretzel Cousins Club" (published by Xlibris), wherein they will learn an invaluable lesson of love and diversity. Her vibrantly illustrated children's book follows a blended family whose exploits show readers how differences between people are perfectly fine and that the individuals can enrich each other's lives thanks to their uniqueness.

Tobin's tale follows cousins from a blended family of raisins and pretzels who decide to form a club. The original club members face questions and concerns about allowing new members who are different from them to join their club. They have to discover that being different is not only okay but actually makes the club perfect. Tobin draws from her own personal experiences in making the narrative, adding authenticity to this tale, as her grandchildren are from a very blended family and were initially confused about how they could truly be family if there were so many differences. By highlighting the love that flows between members of a diverse and non-traditional family, she shows her grandchildren and readers everywhere just how raisins and pretzels can get along.

"You will love learning with these cute raisins and pretzels! You can be in the club too!" Tobin says.

"The Raisin & Pretzel Cousins Club" provides an enjoyable yet entertaining reading experience for children, conveying an important message of tolerance for young people growing up in diverse multi-cultural societies. With these progressive themes, Tobin shows young readers that family is not only about shared DNA, but also about shared experience, memories and love.
