Bookworms unite! Books-A-Million is calling all literary enthusiasts to participate in Books-A-Million's Annual Book Drive. From Sunday, July 23 through Saturday, August 26, community members will have the opportunity to share the love of literacy by selecting one of their favorite children's books to be donated to schools and libraries in their cities. Local schools throughout the country have teamed up with a Books-A-Million store in the community to supply students with brand new books for the upcoming school year!

"Books are a highly valuable resource to children and access to them is often taken for granted," said Scott Kappler, vice president of marketing at Books-A-Million. "As one of the largest book store companies nationwide, it is our obligation to ensure that children from all walks of life have the tools they need to succeed in school, starting with the gift of literacy. With our annual drive, we hope to bring increased access to thousands of kids across the U.S., in turn building confidence and educational potential."

Readers interested in sharing the love through the annual program will be able to choose from the many suggested novels placed near the store checkout or select one of their personal favorites for donation. Fan favorites to consider include the entertaining "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio, J.K. Rowling's thrilling adventure novel turned major motion picture "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and John Green's highly anticipated new novel, "Turtles All the Way Down," which is available for pre-order at the end of July in any Books-A-Million store or online at booksamillion.com.

Participants must purchase new books from Books-A-Million to be considered for donation. For more information on how to participate in the book drive, please visit booksamillion.com.
