Book Expo America Presents Author Susan Mallery, 6/1

Bestselling romance author Susan Mallery is in New York City this week for Book Expo America (BEA), an annual trade event for publishing and book industry professionals. Mallery will autograph two of her most recent books - Three Sisters, a Blackberry Island novel, and Just One Kiss, a Fool's Gold romance novel, which was released on May 28.

BEA is held at the Javits Center on 11th Avenue between 34th and 40th Streets. On Saturday, June 1, BEA will be open to the public through Power Reader tickets, which can be purchased via the BEA website, bookexpoamerica.com/power.

"Meeting readers will be a welcome distraction from my book release nervousness," Mallery says. "I've written more than 100 books, but I still get unbearably nervous during release week. Maybe even more so now, with higher expectations. Last year, the three Fool's Gold summer romances each hit the mass market New York Times bestsellers list in the top ten. So now I'm holding my breath while waiting to see if readers will respond in the same way to Just One Kiss."

Mallery's Fool's Gold series of romance novels is her most popular series to date. The books have been praised as "funny and delightful" by RT Book Reviews, and have been featured as a Red Hot Read in Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Just One Kiss, the first book of the 2013 Fool's Gold trilogy, will be followed later this summer by Two of a Kind and Three Little Words.

"It's always fun to have books out in the summer," Mallery says. "Romance novels make the best beach reads. They take you away from everyday life and transport you to a different world. In the case of the Fool's Gold books, that world is a small town filled with quirky, funny people and a lot of heart."

Thursday, May 30 - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Susan Mallery will autograph Just One Kiss, a Fool's Gold romance, in booth 1238, which is the booth of her publisher, HQN Books, a division of Harlequin. Just One Kiss is in its first week of release.

Friday, May 31 - 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Susan Mallery will autograph Three Sisters, a Blackberry Island novel, in BEA's Autographing Area. Three Sisters is a women's fiction novel exploring themes of female friendship, marriage, and loss, and is a popular book club selection.

Saturday, June 1 - 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Susan Mallery will autograph Just One Kiss for the Power Reading public in booth 1238.
