Best-Selling Author Cheryl Strayed to Appear at Vermont College of Fine Arts, 8/15

MONTPELIER, Vt., July 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA), a national center for graduate education in the arts, announced today that best-selling author Cheryl Strayed will be interviewed by VCFA President Thomas Christopher Greene in front of a live audience on Friday, August 15th, 2014 at 5pm. The event will take place in Alumni Hall, 4 College Street, Montpelier.

Cheryl Strayed is the author of #1 New York Times bestseller WILD, the New York Times bestseller TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS, and the novel TORCH. WILD was chosen by Oprah Winfrey as her first selection for Oprah's Book Club 2.0. Jean-Marc Valle is directing the film adaptation of WILD, starring Reese Witherspoon, with a screenplay by Nick Hornby. The film is being produced by Pacific Standard and will be distributed by Fox Searchlight in fall 2014. WILD won a Barnes & Noble Discover Award, an Indie Choice Award, an Oregon Book Award, a Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award, and a Midwest Booksellers Choice Award among others.
