Author BeBop carries a desire to spread the word on his success of taking the challenge of recovery from addiction. BeBop's "My Personal Stop Message" (published by Trafford Publishing), published in 2014, centers on the experiences taken through in the quitting process and the very beginning of the author's new life.

"I am the victim and the victor. I believe I was prepared by our Higher Power to leave this legacy or rather add it to the fight for a better life for us all," BeBop tells.

Being a success story in ending drug addiction, BeBop writes this book with the hope that more will open up to admit their mistakes and to focus on their positive sides after living in a nightmare like being hooked with drug addiction. "I know I am not the only success story of addiction and more of these stories I believe can appeal to not only those needing, maybe some inspiration in their own struggle, but as well those family and friends who could get a better kind of view and be able to be the more empathetic to individuals going through this part of life," BeBop adds.

An excerpt from the book:
If more under the power and insanity of addiction could stop long enough to focus on the beginning of a fresh new day without the plague of a bottle of wine, a balloon, spoon and its outfit, a hit and its accompanying glass pipe or anything that must be ingested in some way to relieve the pressure and pain felt by addiction.

About the Author
BeBop was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. The author lives with a single parent and in a somewhat dysfunctional home, this fact sets the tone or to let one see how the author became involved in a life of addiction. He is also a gay man by choice. Because of the ghetto life and the color of his black skin during the times of Dr. King's struggle to deliver a message of peace and love among us all, BeBop fell into more of the criminal side of life, taking him through not only heavy addiction but three prison terms. He believes that by accepting his sexuality in prison, he was able to start the process it took to take control of his life.
