This Friday, July 1, at 11:35 PM/10:35C on Telemundo, BOXEO Telemundo FORD, the number one boxing program on Hispanic television in the United States, features a fight for the World Boxing Organization's Latino Super Featherweight title. Carlos "Fino" Ruiz and Sebastian Diaz, both of Mexico, will go 10 rounds before a hometown crowd at the Auditorio Plaza Condesa in Mexico City. Veteran commentators Rene Giraldo and Edgar Lopez will narrate the match, which can also be viewed on NBCDeportes.com digital platforms.

Carlos "Fino" Ruiz (18-2-1, 8KO) beat Argentina's Horacio "El Látigo" Centeno to take home the WBO Latino Super Featherweight title from Santa Fe, Argentina in September 2015. He has already defended his position once this year, against Joel Montes de Oca, in an unforgettable fight broadcast on "Boxeo Telemundo Ford."

Sebastian Díaz (12-2, 10KO) of Aguascalientes, Mexico will enter the ring on Friday with two wins in as many fights in 2016. In the most recent, on April 26, he defended his WBC FECOMBOX Super Featherweight title against challenger José Roberto "El Padrino" González. Díaz won the title in February after defeating Rafael "El Muñeco" Falcon in TKO-5. He fought three times in 2015, ending the year with a 2-1 record.

"Boxeo Telemundo Ford" has two more evenings of boxing scheduled for this summer, both with world titles at stake:

On Friday, July 8, Mexicans Antonio "Toño" Morán and Juan Pablo "Lagarto" Sánchez will face off in a 10-round bout for the WBC´s Latin Lightweight championship at the Blackberry Auditorium in Mexico City.

The last fight of the season will be on July 15 at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Florida, where Puerto Rican champion Orlando "El Fenómeno" Cruz will return to "Boxeo Telemundo Ford" to defend his NABO Super Featherweight title in 10 rounds against Mexico's Alex Valdez.
