Chantelle Taylor, a British Combat Medic, is renowned as the first female soldier to kill an enemy fighter at close quarters in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. About the Author
Taylor served in Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan while in the British Army. On leaving the service she was recommended to take the Queen's Commission from the ranks. She returned to Afghanistan for a third time with the U.S. Department of State, completing two years as an instructor in combat medicine. Moving to Iraq, Taylor transitioned into the world of diplomatic security spending nearly four years in post. She is currently working as a senior security advisor in Baghdad, Iraq.
