Author, Dedeth Ford shares the uplifting story of how she and her husband fell in love before ever meeting one another in her new memoir, "Life of Love for Atema and Atepa" (published by AuthorHouse).

Ford, a young woman from a developing village in the Philippines, and Patrick, a man from Colorado in the United States, crossed paths in 1987 and began writing letters to one another almost immediately. Back then, communication was primarily done through writing letters, and Ford says she "knew after reading the first letter that Patrick was the man I would spend the rest of my life with."

Bittersweet, poignant and romantic, the letters shared in the pages of "Life of Love for Atema and Atepa" show a true commitment that is hard to find in today's world. Any net profits that come from the sale of the book will go toward providing medical care for the children in the small village of Mahayag in San Miguel, Bohol, Philippines. All of the letters Ford and Patrick wrote to each other are included in this comprehensive new book.
