Westwood, Massachusetts

Now 86 years old and legally blind, Ms. Liberman continues to produce entertaining and timely literary works that encourage young children to see that they are each unique, and teaches valuable lessons about their self-worth and contribution to the world around them.

For decades, Ms. Liberman created widely exhibited visual art series that are represented in the collections of museums and public institutions worldwide. Much of the art was based on the human condition, the Holocaust, Judaica and Jewish history, and Biblical interests. The medium Judith Liberman chooses to express herself has evolved from visual art to writing books of plays, musicals and lyrics, to writing poetry and an autobiography, to focusing on children's picture books.
