FRANKLIN SQUARE, N.Y.

Author Anthony F. Ciuffo draws on more than 50 years of experience to help struggling business owners and entrepreneurs achieve success in a dismal economic market in his new business guide, "Business Development and Entrepreneurship in a Stressful Economy" (published by Trafford Publishing).

"To succeed in business, we must diligently watch the messages and signs our economy is trying to relate to us," Ciuffo says. "This book will help entrepreneurs stack the odds in their favor."

According to Ciuffo, unemployment rates, interest rates, house sales, construction activity, automobile sales and the number of people flying at major airports all indicate the level of consumer confidence in the nation's economy. By looking at this data, entrepreneurs can gain more insight into whether their endeavors are likely to succeed or fail.

Drawing on personal experience and thorough research, Ciuffo presents readers with a wealth of information to help them identify the elements that are essential to establish, maintain and develop a successful business operation in a depressed economy.

"Businesses can succeed in a stressful economy," Ciuffo assures readers. "It takes knowledge, forethought and hard work."
