Tourmaline Beach Press is proud to present a children's book as their debut publication, A Boy and a Bird, by Andrew Christison, a Fresno, California native. Beautifully illustrated by Nnanna Akwu and in rhythmically engaging prose, A Boy and a Bird is a story about a boy who never completed what he started, until a special adventure with a one-winged bird takes him on a journey to conquer his fears to understand that he can accomplish anything.

Tom Hopkins, Author of The Official Guide to Success, said, "This book will inspire children to 'take one more step' toward success." New York Times Best Selling Author, Brian Tracy, said, "This book teaches young people the most important lesson of all - to never give up, no matter what."

"Countless studies have shown that willpower is a trait that can have an unbelievable impact on anyone, young and old alike," said Christison. "This book is about how persisting at a daunting task can reinforce and reinvigorate anyone to better persist in every aspect of their life."

"A Boy and a Bird" has simultaneously released via Amazon.com in both a Kindle eBook and a paperback version as of today, July 14, 2015.

Christison is an established businessman, currently working as Director of Business Development for a marketing technology firm, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has accomplished both his BA and MBA from Ashford University and has been an active volunteer with children and youth since childhood.
