With over 1.25 million licensed lawyers in this country, no wonder it is so difficult to be a practicing lawyer nowadays. The number of licensed attorneys in this country is five times larger than it was in the the 60's, and the sad part is the total population has yet to double.

Many lawyers want out of the profession, but are too afraid to look at the options, the author outlines the framework he used to find his true calling and deal with the fear associated with leaving the profession.
The first step, as the book explains, is for lawyers to figure out whether the law is really their true "calling" in life. The author believes a high percentage of practicing lawyers are in the profession for the wrong reasons. Whether they chose the law for the money or it became a self fulfilling prophecy based on their parents' desires, many lawyers find the profession to be a quite hostile environment, not conducive to living a happy and balanced life.
