Adam Brewster of Edinburgh, Scotland Wins L. Ron Hubbard's International Illustrators of the Future Contest
Adam Brewster of Edinburgh, Scotland will be honored at the 30th Annual L. Ron Hubbard Achievement awards being held 13 April 2014 in Los Angeles. The event will celebrate the twenty-four annual winners in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests, where Trevor will be one of the twelve illustrator winners. His art will also be published in the bestselling Science Fiction/Fantasy anthology series - L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume XXX. He has already won $500.00 prize money.
He will now compete with the remaining 11 winners for the grand prize of an additional $5,000.00.
Adam's wife has been entering the Writers of the Future Contest and informed him about the illustrators side of the competition. He was planning on entering every quarter until he won and on his second try he won. "Some people enter as many as 15 times before winning," contest coordinating judge Ron Lindahn stated.
Adam is hoping that his wife wins in the 4th quarter of the contest on the writers side so that they would be in the same volume together.
Adam will be flown to Hollywood to participate in a week long workshop taught by the blue ribbon panel of contest judges lead by Cliff Nielsen (Chronicles of Narnia artwork), followed by the gala awards ceremony at the end of the week. Other judges and mentors attending during the week are Stephan Martiniere (The Fifth Element concept art), Dave Dorman (Star Wars art), Stephen Hickman (internationally commissioned artist), and Larry Elmore (Dungeons & Dragons) just to name a few.
The Contests were initiated by L. Ron Hubbard in 1983 shortly after returning to the field of science fiction with his bestseller Battlefield Earth.
