Author Helen Downing just announced the release of "Remembering Hell," a sequel to her debut novel "Awake In Hell." "Awake in Hell" was self-published in 2012 and then was picked up and re-released by Beau Coup Publishing in 2013. The sequel is also published by Beau Coup Publishing.

Both books follow Louise Patterson, a foul-mouthed hero who does not realize how to live a good life until after she's dead. Ms. Downing says, "While 'Awake in Hell' discussed Louise's own redemption, 'Remembering Hell, is more about letting loved ones take their own paths, whether it be toward amazing success or total destruction."

The blurb on the back of the book says "Now a long-term resident of Heaven, Louise finds a need to return to the one place she thought she had left behind forever - Hell. Back in Central City Hades, she meets Joe who needs a guardian angel. Louise also meets a tall, dark and handsome stranger who just may change her afterlife. In this compelling sequel to 'Awake In Hell', you are invited to return to the land of the damned with Louise as she learns a whole new set of lessons about how to live a good life, even after you're dead."

Locally, Downing's first book signing is planned for the First Friday of February at the Delaware Store on State Street in Dover, DE. She is also planning an online book tour. The book is available on Amazon.com as a paperback and as a Kindle E-book.
