Tom Hands and John Wamsley set records straight about the status of a habitat restoration project they are both part of. With the release of the "Almanda Report 2015" (published by Xlibris AU), readers and conservationist are able to see this year's annual update on every aspect of the riparian zone habitat restoration. It acts as a guide for people in this kind of work and serves as an audit system that tracks the group's yearly progress.

One of the most important aspects of the Almanda Project is that this book, together with annual updates, will provide a record of every aspect of riparian zone habitat restoration. The authors believe that the constant monitoring and auditing of the work will assist in achieving the best outcomes for all native species. They add that the only way of measuring success of the long term recovery of degraded ecosystems is through comprehensive and pro-active monitoring.

"We hope to provide, for the first time, a guide for all those undertaking this type of work and at the same time build an audit system which will track our progress, successes and failures," Hands and Wamsley say. "As nature is never predictable, close observation of all stages of the work we hope, will provide new insights into the processes of habitat restoration."

The "Almanda Report 2015" gives a better understanding of the needs of the environment by providing a record of the money spent and the progress made or the losses concurred. This book and subsequent updates will be a valuable manual and guide for any individual or group wishing to undertake similar projects.
