In contrast to classic science-fiction novels, Robert Kriete's newly released book, Alien Mysteries: The Earthling, puts an original spin on an old plot: the typical conflict between humans and alien beings on our planet.

Alien Mysteries: The Earthling follows a curious scientist, Dr. Maxwell Fairmont, after he accidentally encounters an alien he names Doc while driving through a California desert. Doc and Max, as he is called, embark on incredible adventures together through the span of the novel. In the midst of their adventures, Max, along with the readers, learn more and more about Doc's alien existence, and also about unresolved mysteries in our world and the universe at large.

In his narrative, Robert reveals that the aliens are benign and extremely intelligent beings, with feelings and emotions. The book also delves into scientific theories, mirroring yet another more traditional trait of the science-fiction genre. Though a couple of chapters in the book draw heavily on scientific speculations, Robert's explanations are easy to understand at a high-school level. The author also notes to the reader that he can bypass those chapters without missing any part of the ongoing plot, "...if science is not your cup of tea."

Joe Kilgore, in The US Review of Books, writes, "Author Kriete's novel is not just another tale of alien abduction. His story is an involving blend of scientific fact, theory, and fiction, wrapped around an extrapolation of worlds beyond our own that offer hope for the one in which we dwell."

Alien Mysteries: The Earthling is available now through Amazon.com and AlienMysteriesbyRobertKriete.net.
