Today, June 7 marks the 70th anniversary of D-Day, the largest amphibious military operation in history. Join us to learn more about the Allied invasion of Normandy through the programs listed below, and don't forget to visit President Eisenhower, the man behind it all, in"America's Presidents" on the second floor.

Reel Portraits: Ike: Countdown to D-Day
Saturday, June 7, 2 p.m.

Nan Tucker McEvoy Auditorium

Tom Selleck portrays General Dwight D. Eisenhower in Ike: Countdown to D-Day, a film depicting the Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force's decision to launch the invasion of Normandy.

Susan Eisenhower, chairman emerita of the Eisenhower Institute, will introduce the film and take questions from the audience.

Portrait Story Days: Dwight D. Eisenhower
Saturday June 7, 1 to 4 p.m.
Sunday, June 8, 2 to 5 p.m.

Young visitors and their families can listen to a story about Dwight D. Eisenhower and create art inspired by his portraits that are currently on view. This program is sponsored in part by the Reinsch Family Education Endowment.
