Pink Palace Will Host Atlanta Symphony Associates' Decorators' Show House & Gardens
The walls of Palazzo Rosa, the 44th annual Decorators' Show House & Gardens, are no stranger to the creative minds of the Atlanta Symphony Associates' annual group of elite designers.
"The public loves to see how the modern family would use this home today, which helped myself and others involved with the selection make a unanimous decision to bring Palazzo Rosa back for the third time," said Brooke Brantley Merrill, the 2014 Decorators' Show House Chair.
Originally designed in the Italian Baroque Style by three Georgian architects -Neel Reid, Hal Hentz and Philip Shutze-the home is now considered a "green" house with an innovative geothermal heating and cooling system. Renovations were completed without sacrificing any of the home's charm and patina. With technology from the new millennium and original tapestries from the early 20th century, the Palazzo Rosa will appeal to a wide range of homeowners, renters or designers looking for inspiration.
"It is one of the most beautifully crafted homes in Atlanta. The proportions, the architecture and the grounds are a haven for any creative soul to build a masterpiece," said Ms. Merrill. "I encourage everyone to make plans to visit this year's Show House. The experience will be one you don't want to miss."
The Decorators' Show House will be open to the public from April 26-May 18, 2014, and all proceeds benefit the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and its education and community engagement initiatives. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit DecoratorsShowHouse.org.
