New Gallery, LF/S BROOKLYN, Offers Invitation-Only ArtParties
LF/S BROOKLYN, an innovative new art gallery in Williamsburg, brings artists and audiences together in an intimate new way. The brainchild of musician Lee Feldman and artist Steve Silver, the gallery presents invitation-only ArtParties, in Silver's 5,000 square foot home and studio. The gallery is also open by appointment only. Contact us at LFSBrooklyn@gmail.com.
On September 15, LF/S BROOKLYN will showcase the work of Chris Crowhurst. Crowhurst is an NEA Grant awardee for her work relating to Native American practices and beliefs. She lives in Florida where she raises and trains show horses and creates art. LF/S BROOKLYN will showcase a collection of Magic Wands and paintings in Crowhurst's first NYC exhibition since 1991.
Steve Silver moved to Williamsburg in 1978, one of the vanguard of artists settling in the area. Inspired to paint on a trip through Peru, his work has been shown in exhibitions in Mexico, Germany, and Spain, as well as in galleries in NYC and throughout the US. Musician Lee Feldman moved to Williamsburg in the late-1980s and has enjoyed success as a singer/songwriter and pianist.
Feldman and Silver's unique partnership brings art to New Yorkers in a completely new way. Their ArtParties provide a relaxed space for both long-time gallery patrons and new viewers alike. Silver's studio offers a rarely seen window in to an artist's work-space and the intimate space allows guests to get to know the art, artists, and each other.
