Morrison Hotel Gallery Launches with Appearance by Rock & Roll Photographer Henry Diltz, 10/26
Morrison Hotel Gallery is pleased to announce its expanded gallery space in conjunction with its partnership with premier shopping destination, The Mens Market at Hirshleifers, located at the Americana Manhasset in Manhasset, New York.
To kick off the unveiling of the new gallery space, legendary music photographer Henry Diltz will be at The Mens Market on Saturday, October 26thfrom 1 to 3 PM. Diltz, who shot over 400 album covers including Crosby Stills and Nash first album cover, James Taylor's Sweet Baby James, and The Doors' Morrison Hotel, of which the Morrison Hotel Gallery takes its name. Diltz has many of his iconic photographs on display and for sale at the new gallery and will be signing copies of his latest book Unpainted Faces (Morrison Hotel Publishing). The event will be open to the public.
Hirshleifers is one of the country's most celebrated specialty stores that for over a century, has served as a destination for the purchase of exclusive European and American couture clothing and accessories. Morrison Hotel Gallery was invited to showcase photography in The Mens Market last year and was so well received by patrons that the photography was expanded to more locations in the store. Morrison Hotel Gallery now has a designated gallery at Hirshleifers, displaying 40 pieces of fine art photography for sale within the gallery as well as throughout The Mens Market and Hirshleifers stores.
