Crown Center to Open 75 YEARS OF OZ, OH MY!, 2/1

One of the world's most beloved movies turns 75 this year. And Crown Center is celebrating by bringing the magic of the big screen to Kansas City. "75 Years of Oz, Oh My!" is open February 1 to May 4 in the Crown Center Shops Showplace, located on Level 1 of the Crown Center Shops at 2450 Grand Boulevard. There is no admission fee.

Families can tour the enchanting world of the Munchkins, meet up with Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion, sneak into the Wicked Witch's castle and much more. The exhibit also features decades of movie memorabilia from local Oz enthusiast Jane Albright.

In addition to the exhibit, Meet "Glinda the Good Witch" from noon to 4 p.m. on March 1 and 8. Visit with other Wizard of Oz costumed characters from noon to 4 p.m. on March 15, 22 and 29. All activities are complimentary.

"75 Years of Oz, Oh My!" will be open to the public during Crown Center Shops regular hours: Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibit is closed Easter Sunday, April 20.
