The Kavinoky Theatre, a professional theatre on the campus of D'Youville College, will continue its 36th season with the production of End of the Rainbow - written by Peter Quilter and directed by Lisa Ludwig. This limited engagement, which opens on January 8 and runs through January 31, 2016, stars Natasha Drena as Judy Garland along with Chris Hatch, Greg Gjurich, and David Lundy.

It's London 1968, and Judy Garland is getting ready for her 5 week run at the nightclub "Talk of the Town." Accompanied by her younger fiancé/manager Mickey Deans and faithful pianist Anthony Chapman, she wonders if her comeback is possible without the drugs and booze of her past. Filled with classic songs such as "Come Rain or Come Shine" and "The Man that Got Away," the play makes us remember her incredible wit, tenderness, and talent as well as the demons she carried with her until the day she died. End of the Rainbow gives us a glimpse into her last days and reminds us why she was indeed one of the greatest performers in show business.

Performances for this four-week limited engagement (January 8 - January 31, 2016) will take place on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $42.00, with discounts available to seniors, students, the military, and groups. For tickets, call (716) 829-7668 or visit kavinokytheatre.com.
