Downstairs Cabaret Theatre is pleased to collaborate with Roberts Wesleyan College Cultural Life Center in welcoming back Don Campbell with An Evening of Dan Fogelberg Music, Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 6:00pm.

His previous performance at Downstairs Cabaret in August 2013 played to a nearly sold-out, ecstatic audience.

Don Campbell is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer whose music is inspired by sources that range from Canadian and Celtic Maritime music of his family to Vince Gill, the Beatles, Dan Fogelberg and novelist Stephen King. Don's mastery of instruments includes guitar, piano, bass, banjo and mandolin.

He has released 12 CDs ranging from bluegrass, adult contemporary, Christmas, country and rock. The most recent CD was a 23- song collection called "Kites To Fly: Celebrating the Music of Dan Fogelberg."

Don performs 150-200 shows a year, primarily with the New England-based Don Campbell Band. He has an entrepreneurial approach both in and out of the studio, and owns his own record label and publishing company "Playbutton Records" and "Donski Music Publishing." Don's opening performance credits include Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels, Willie Nelson and many more. He named his Dan Fogelberg tribute CD "Kite to Fly," because he felt that these treasured songs were like kites that had to be put up there and given space to breathe and fly.

Dan Fogelberg was born in 1951 in Illinois, he is best known for his early 1980's hits "Longer," "Leader of the Band," and "Same Old Lang Syne." His performances are endorsed by The Fogelberg Foundation of Peoria whose leadership also brought the Band to Dan's hometown of Peoria, IL to headline one of its annual Dan Fogelberg Celebration Weekends.

Performances will take place at Roberts Wesleyan College Cultural Life Center, 2301 Westside Drive, Rochester: Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 6:00pm. Convenient free parking is available.
