In his autobiographical one-man performance The Bunt Machine, Mac Premo dramatically retells a night of very minor tragedy. Away from his family on business, he receives sad news from home: the death of his daughter's hamster. Struggling with the guilt of his absence -and subsequent inability to impart man-wisdom upon his daughters-Premo spends a restless night in and out of sleep, reliving an episode of M*A*S*H, and concocting a machine that lays down a consistent bunt- all in a subconscious effort to make things right.
