'SHAKESPEARE'S FUNERAL' Event Set for The Morbid Anatomy Museum

Shakespeare's Funeral: An illustrated lecture and costume party to celebrate Shakespeare's 400th death anniversary will be held on Friday, May 20th from 7-9pm at the Morbid Anatomy Museum in Brooklyn, NY.

Shakespeare expert, Melinda Hall (Artistic Director of Willful Pictures) will present an illustrated talk about the various dead Shakespearean characters, common causes of death in Shakespeare's time (1564-1616), Early Modern burial rites as well as Shakespeare's own death and recent discoveries about his grave. The audience is encouraged to attend the event dressed as their favorite dead Shakespearean character. After the lecture, there will be a reception where we will crush a cup and toast Master Shakespeare. Live music will be performed composer/musician Emily Gardner Hall and violinist Jordan Hall.

Melinda Hall is a writer, director, actor and producer who lives in NYC.
