The M Center, an intimate studio designed to provide classes and private lessons in all forms of creative and lively arts and holistic healing and wellness, hosted a gala night, Saturday, November 30. People spilled into the streets from out of the doors of the little shop on 83rd off Fifth Avenue while inside, singing was heard, home-baked goodies were served, and a good time was had by all.

Business was still conducted at the event as students signed up for voice class, acting and playwriting workshops, and inquires were made about meditation, herbal work, and Reiki healing. All classes are taught by professionals and prices are kept very low.

Brooklyn resident and Broadway veteran, Mary Elizabeth Micari, told News 12's Ken Buffa, "we're here to make art accessible - that's our mission." The inaugural event honored, Jay Michaels, president of Genesis Repertory, the arts & education organization sponsoring the M Center, for his more than 35 years in the industry.
