The Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC's) FREE Green Jam will sound a little different in 2016 kicking off from Friday 4 March 2016.

Running every Friday on QPAC's Melbourne Street Green, from 5.30pm, the ever popular Green Jam Sessions will introduce new 'flavours' to welcome you to the weekend.

With genres ranging from Pop, Surf Rock and B-Bop to Jazz, Classical hybrid and Indigenous there will be something to suit all tastes. This line up will include both established and emerging artists showcasing their unique talents.

The new Green Jam program will also aim to complement the Centre's in-theatre program, so if you are coming to see a performance, pop in early, grab a drink and enjoy free live music before you head into the theatre.

Green Jam's food and beverage offering will also be changing in 2016. New bar snacks will satisfy those who want a light nibble and for those who want something more substantial, the QPAC chefs will be serving up a rotating menu of street food that will shine a light on the food from Queensland's various cultural communities.

Friday afternoon drinks will feature, for the first time, a specially created Green Jam cocktail while locals Burleigh Brewing Co. will return offering beer on tap.

Don't miss out on the new and improved Green Jam in 2016; when the Melbourne Street Green comes alive with music and lights, becoming the perfect location to end the working week.

Located across the road from South Brisbane bus and train stations and next to the QPAC Café, Green Jam is an eclectic mix of people, music, food, and drinks...and don't forget the music is FREE!
