Peace Train - The Cat Stevens Story will return to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC's), Concert Hall stage, following a sell out season at the Sydney Opera House, for one night only on Friday 29 November 2013.

Father & Son, The Old School Yard, Where Do The Children Play, Moonshadow, Hard Headed Woman and of course, Peace Train are the songs that made the whole world sing; the songs that will make audiences stand up and celebrate when Peace Train - The Cat Stevens Story hits the QPAC stage.

Pease Train - The Cat Stevens Story Producer, Phil Bathols always knew this hit show would return to the main stage.

"In 2010 we set off on a national tour of Peace Train, and while we always knew we were on to a winner with Darren Coggan's authentic voice, we were astounded by the emotional reaction from the audiences we played to.

"People of all ages really connected with the story and the music of Cat Stevens. Both Darren and I moved on to other projects afterwards, but I always had those standing ovations playing in the back of my mind, and so I knew we'd be back", says producer Phil Bathols.

Peace Train - The Cat Stevens Story is a stage show which has been written, designed, produced and directed to take audiences on the same journey of discovery and enlightenment travelled by Cat himself, with unique insights into the heart and mind of one of the greatest singer/songwriters of our time.

Back in the '70s Cat Stevens was the ultimate rock star - talented, charismatic, with a seemingly endless succession of beautiful melodies streaming from his imagination. In Australia almost one in two people owned a Cat Stevens album.

Cat sold more than 60 million albums, earned enough money to last several lifetimes, and enjoyed all the trappings of fame, but he wanted more out of life. So at the height of his career he shocked the world by taking his last bow. The music stopped and Cat Stevens was no more. Whatever became of the man who wrote some of the most poignant songs of our time? Why did he turn his back on the world?

In a style reminiscent of Looking Through A Glass Onion, John Water's classic portrayal of the life of the late John Lennon, Peace Train - The Cat Stevens Story will feature 23 of the songs the whole world sang along with, including Father & Son, Lady D'arbanville, Morning Has Broken, The Old School Yard, On The Road To Find Out, Wild World, Where Do The Children Play, Moonshadow, Matthew & Son, Hard Headed Woman, Sad Lisa, Peace Train and many more.

One of Australia's most exciting young artists Darren Coggan, backed by the high-energy live band, Fire Cats will take audiences on a truly magical ride of discovery, back through the joys and the sorrows, the triumphs and the pain, in the life of the legend that was the one and only, Cat Stevens.
