BWW Review: SMART PEOPLE#2
Posted: 6/22/14 at 7:17pm
To be kind, an underwhelming effort on the part of Ms. Diamond to create a thought-provoking dialogue that never begins and never ends. It's an endless loop. Nothing of substance. Loathsome, cliched characters that elicit neither empathy nor sympathy. Poorly chosen, and overly loud, jazz riffs punctuating set changes between lightning-speed scenes. Beautiful set design, though!
A very disappointing end to an otherwise excellent season--save Becoming Cuba.
