Well-Strung, The Singing String Quartet, will return to Provincetown on July 1 to debut their brand new show "Summer Lovin'" directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. The show arrives in conjunction with the launch of the group's Kickstarter campaign for their new CD entitled "POPssical" scheduled for release this fall. For "Summer Lovin'" tickets and information visit www.ptownarthouse.com or call 800-838-3006.

Last night Well-Strung performed Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah at the TrevorLive Gala in New York honoring Sir Ian McKellan. Guest appearances also included Susan Sarandon, Jeanine Tesori, and Raven Simone.

Well-Strung have quickly gained national and international attention for their unique mash-up of string quartet and boy band. The foursome features classical musicians who sing, putting their own spin on classical and pop music. They are Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola). Music arrangements are by Well-Strung and Bruce Carter. The group was conceived by Producer Mark Cortale and Christopher Marchant.

The recording the new "POPssical" album is the culmination of Well-Strung's national tour of the show by the same name over the past year. As passionate fans and practitioners of both classical and pop music, the quartet has made surprising combinations of the two genres their trademark. The group notes that hearing their fans' equally passionate response to their live show version of "POPssical" only strengthened their resolve to preserve the unique show as an album. In that connection, the foursome is inviting fans to join their Kickstarter campaign to assist them with studio and production costs in return for exclusive rewards such as free copies of the album, tickets to live shows, t-shirts, and personalized video greetings.

Well-Strung have been featured on The TODAY Show with Kathie Lee & Hoda, Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, the CBS News and ABC Television as well as The Huffington Post among many other national media outlets. The quartet recently sold out Feinstein's in San Francisco and 54 Below in New York City. Last August, they were invited to perform with Tony and Emmy Award Winner Kristin Chenoweth in her two sold-out concerts at Town Hall in Provincetown, MA. Well-Strung also performed in May 2014 at LifeBall in Vienna on the same bill as Ke$ha, participating in the largest AIDS research fundraiser in the world. Among recent highlights, this past October they were featured in Tony Award Winner Joanna Gleason's critically acclaimed new show in New York and New Orleans; followed by a November performance with opera star Deborah Voigt, Norm Lewis and Sierra Boggess to open the new Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando directed by Richard Jay-Alexander; and this past December performed for three sold-out holiday shows with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus in San Francisco for over 4,000 people.
