Vagabond Theatre Group presents Fortune's Favored, a new play by Boston Playwright Lesley Anne Moreau. This new play runs July 11-26, 2014 at the Factory Theatre (791 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02118).

Eudora (Annie Hochheiser) is fed-up with solely running her family's arcade, the only one in Big Ugly, West Virginia. Her father would rather hit the bottle than run a business and her wealthy cousin Luann (Lauren Robinson) hangs around all day. When a mysterious stranger, Davis (Conor Walsh), comes to town and takes a keen interest in the rare fortune-telling machine housed in the arcade, he makes Eudora an offer too good to be true for it and she sees this as her chance to finally leave Big Ugly for good. Her family however, has very different plans and won't let Eudora sell without a fight.

"When I first read it, I was amazed with exactly how much heart and soul was ingrained into the script," says Director Zach Winston. "So much heart that it overflowed from the pages into playwright Lesley Anne Moreau's process. The play has been through a lot of revisions - she wrote three new, honed drafts even before our first reading."

Tickets are $17 for students/seniors and $22 for general admission, available through BrownPaperTickets.com (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/731172). The play runs about 80 minutes with no intermission.

Location: The Factory Theatre, 791 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02118
