The award-winning Company Theatre kicks off their 2014 Special Events series, with a wide variety of performances from January 3 through May 17, providing the area with the best in music, comedy and guest speakers. All events are held at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell, MA.

An Evening with The Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy (1/3 at 8 pm, Tickets $22) It's Hot Stove Baseball on stage at The Company Theatre. The award-winning Globe columnist discusses at length what went into writing his best-selling book, "Francona," a look back at the 2013 and upcoming 2014 Red Sox teams, and his often volatile relationship with all Boston sports teams and athletes. A night guaranteed to be so good... so good... so good!

We've Only Just Begun: The Carpenters Remembered (1/4 at 4 pm and 8 pm, Tickets $32) The timeliness music of Karen and Richard Carpenter comes alive with this outstanding group from Memphis, TN. Relive such classic songs as "We've Only Just Begun," "Close To You," "Superstar," "Rainy Days & Mondays," and so many more. It's sure to be a memorable show.

Jay Johnson: The Two and Only (1/11 at 4 pm and 8 pm, Tickets $30) You may remember him as one half of "Chuck & Bob," on the classic sit-com "Soap," but in 2007 Jay Johnson took his skill as a ventriloquist to Broadway for his one man show," Jay Johnson: The One and Only," and went home with a Tony Award. Jay brings his great show to The Company Theatre along with his friends, including Darwin the Money and Nevermore the Vulture. The New York Times calls it, "One of the funniest shows of the year! A knock-'em dead show, wildly rich in laughter and wisdom that gives it real emotional power. The audience jumped up cheering!" And so will you!

I Want My MTV: Featuring Rubix Kube (1/18 at 8 pm, Tickets $29) Relive all those great MTV videos of the 1980s, from Billy Idol, to Pat Benatar, to Cyndi Lauper! See them again on the screen and hear them performed live by Rubix Kube, the country's premier '80s tribute band. If you just wanna have fun and relive the era of skinny ties, big hair and spandex, this is the place to be!

Winter Shorts Play Festival (2/1 at 3 pm and 7:30 pm, Tickets $20 Adults; $15 Students) The premiere of an annual Winter Shorts Play Festival, featuring original ten-minute plays submitted and selected from the New England playwright community. Be the first to see plays that explore the playfulness, passion, pleasure, and power of interpersonal relationships.

Vincent Bugliosi: The Man Who Convicted Charles Manson (3/8 at 8 pm, Tickets $33) Nearly 40 years ago the country was in the terrifying grip of a horrific crime that rocked the nation as Charles Manson and his followers brutally murdered Sharon Tate and several others. Prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi was on the front line back then, taking Manson head-on in court and subsequently writing about the case in his best-selling book, Helter Skelter. Mr. Bugliosi will be on stage, discussing that horrific event, the writing on his book, and the inner workings of Charles Manson, accompanied by a slide presentation.

Jimmy Tingle's American Dream (3/21 at 8 pm, Tickets $25) Enjoy the sharp wit and hilarious observations of funnyman Jimmy Tingle, both live and on the big screen. The first half of the show will feature Jimmy's award-winning documentary "American Dream," followed by a live performance from this outstanding comic and political satirist.

Sing-Along with MAMMA MIA (3/22 at 8 pm, Tickets $15) You don't have to be a "Dancing Queen" to have a great time singing along with the great music of ABBA while watching the movie MAMMA MIA! You know all the songs, all the words and all the dance moves! Bring all your friends and have the time of your life, Spandex optional!

WOODSTOCK: The Movie (3/23 at 3 pm, Tickets $10) Enjoy the award-winning ground-breaking film on our big screen. Relive the music that defined a generation with powerful on-screen performances by Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Ten Years After, Joe Cocker, Sly & the Family Stone, and 400,000 of your closest friends! Frank Santos, Jr. (4/30 at 7:30 pm, Tickets $20) Hypnotism and comedy... who could ask for more! A New England favorite for many years, Frank Santos, Jr. promises an entertaining evening featuring audience involvement and some unpredictable situations. For mature audiences.

Liza & Judy: Together Again (5/17 at 4 pm and 8 pm, Tickets $36) Suzanne Goulet as "Liza" and Denise Rose as "Judy" amazingly look, sing and dance like the legends they portray, with production numbers that recreate "Get Happy" and "Swanne" from Judy's movies, Liza's famous "Bye Bye Blackbird" from "Liza with a Z" and the "Stepping Out" tap dance that she did at Radio City Music Hall. Backed by great dancers, a full band and over a dozen costume changes, they perform several duets, such as "Hello Dolly" "Alexander's Ragtime Band", "Be a Clown" (in their tramp costumes) and a medley of their most famous songs, like "New York, New York" and "Over The Rainbow".
