The Company Theatre hosts an exclusive evening of food, fun and entertainment with Roxie and Velma's Secret Chicago Speakeasy Cocktail Event, Wednesday, April 26, 6:30 pm, at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell, MA. The special benefit is a one-night only addition to Company's production of Chicago, directed by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman, choreographed by Sally Forrest, with music direction by Michael Joseph.

Roxie and Velma's Secret Chicago Speakeasy Cocktail Event pulls out all the stops for the only remaining opportunity to see the sold out Chicago production! In addition to a ticket for this exclusive performance of Chicago, the night kicks off with secret password admission. Once the party begins at 6:30 pm, guests knock the socks of this Prohibition-era bash enjoying festive cocktails, delectable pre-performance hors d'oeurvres and intermission show-inspired dessert bar created by Chef Eric of Not Your Average Joe's Restaurant. After the 7:30 pm performance, the cast joins the audience in a meet and greet, where photo opportunities with 1920's costumes and props will be available.

Set in the roaring twenties, Chicago paints the town red in vaudeville style and the iconic choreography of Bob Fosse, two merry murderesses and their hotshot lawyer. A sharp edged satire with a dazzling score, this six-time Tony Award winner includes the award for Best Revival, plus the longest running revival in Broadway history. On the big screen, Chicago earned an Oscar Award for Best Picture. On stage, ambitious chorus gal Roxie Hart murders her faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband to take the blame. Convicted and sent to death row, she meets another "merry murderess" in Velma Kelly. The two vie for the spotlight, headlines, and join forces in search of the "American Dream" - fame, fortune and acquittal. Chicago is the hit heard round the world, calling out with "C'mon babe, we're gonna paint the town...and all that jazz!"

Proceeds of this special benefit evening will fund the replacement of the theatre's two industrial heating and air conditioning units.

Tickets are $75.00. To order tickets, or for more information, call the box office at 781-871-2787, email boxoffice@companytheatre.com, or visit http://www.companytheatre.com/ .
