Steps Theatre (a division of Steps Off Broadway) will be performing The Wizard of Oz for only 8 performances. Performances will be held tonight and tomorrow, October 24 & 25 at 7:30 PM, and October 25 & 26 at 2:00 PM. All performances will be held at Steps very own intimate theater at 799 South Main Street in Bellingham.

Dorothy will be played by 2 very talented local performers. Alexis Ghioni of Bellingham and Morgan Fitzpatrick of Franklin will be sharing the role of Dorothy. The talent that each of these girls exudes at the young age of 13 is amazing. Steps Theatre first performed Wizard of Oz in 2010 with 10 sold out performances. This classic Broadway show will bring all the memories of your childhood. Why not have a Halloween celebration in the Land of Oz! The concessions will have a special Witches Brew for your holiday fun! There will also be photo ops after the show with the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, Scarecrow, and of course Dorothy. Kids are welcome to come in costume if they like. Girl Scout groups are welcome!

Dorothy lives on a farm in Kansas until a cyclone arrives, and picks her, her house, and her dog up and deposits them in the land of Oz. Things in Oz are strange and beautiful, but Dorothy just wants to get back home. She's helped by the Good Witch of the North, but she's also in trouble with the Wicked Witch of the West, who seeks revenge for the death of her sister; the Wicked Witch of the East, for which she blames Dorothy. Dorothy Gale is swept away to a magical land in a tornado and embarks on a quest to see the Wizard who can help her return home.
