Reagle's Summer Salute to Jerry Herman Ends With Ross and Engel in LA CAGEJamie Ross and David Engel headline the third and final show of the summer salute to Jerry Herman by the Waltham, MA based company. The entire summer has been a tribute to Herman and his musicals.

Following a season of Hello, Dolly! and Mame, La Cage closes out the summer with an August 13th matinee preview followed by a formal 14 August evening press opening. The production runs through 22 August.

Herman is a recipient of this year's Honorary Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement. Months before the award was announced, the Reagle group had decided to honor the composer-lyricist with an entire summer season devoted exclusively to his works. Throughout the past year, Mr. Herman has generously contributed to the planning as an advisor from the coast.

Jamie Ross a veteran of fifteen Broadway shows (including La Cage) plays Georges, a role he appeared in opposite George Hearn on Broadway. Engel, the musical's original "Hanna from Hamburg," Reagle's Summer Salute to Jerry Herman Ends With Ross and Engel in LA CAGEplays Albin. A six time LA Ovation Award recipient, Engel has previously played the famed role in other venues. His Albin has been lauded as exemplary by Jerry Herman.

Directing and choreographing the entire production is David Scala, a six year veteran of the original cast and La Cage's original "Phaedra." Scala recreates much of the original Arthur Laurent's direction as well as the Scott Salmon choreography.

Other principals include; Ivory McKay as Jacob, Jessica Azenberg as Anne, David Carney as Jean-Michel, R. Glen Michell as Monsieur Dindon, Catherine Lee Christie as Mme. Dindon and Betsy Foley as Jacqueline.

The Cagelles are played by; Scott Abreu, Joseph Cullinane, Philip Deyesso, K.C. Fredericks, Michael Graceffa, Courtney Grassia, Matthew Kossack, Valerie Mayne, Korrine Robertson and Jeremy Towle

La Cage aux Folles plays 13-22 August at the Robinson Theater. Call 781 891 5600 for tickets or visit online at www.reagleplayers.com. Tickets range from $32-$54
