Reagle Music Theatre Seeks Von Trapp Children for THE SOUND OF MUSIC, 6/17

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston seeks young actors to play the roles of six of the seven Von Trapp children in its August 5-14 production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music." Auditions are scheduled for Friday, June 17, 3-6 p.m. in the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington Street, Waltham, Mass.

Patrick Cassidy (Broadway's "42nd Street," "Aida," "Annie Get Your Gun," "Leader of the Pack," "The Pirates of Penzance") stars as Captain von Trapp. Reagle Music Theatre favorite and two-time IRNE Award winner Sarah Pfisterer (Broadway's "Phantom of the Opera," "Show Boat") stars as Maria. Larry Sousa directs, Daniel Rodriguez music directs, and Susan M. Chebookjian choreographs.

"Austrian-looking" actors and singers less than 5'6" tall are sought for Friedrich (14), Louisa (13), Kurt (10), Brigitta (9), Marta (7), and Gretl (5). Please note that the role of Liesl has already been cast.

Actors who wish to audition are asked to visit the Reagle Music Theatre website (www.reaglemusictheatre.org) to download and prepare scene and song cuts. An accompanist will be provided. No appointments are necessary for this open call, but a recent photo is requested.
