Peter Ciluzzi to Present Benefit Performance at The Provincetown Theate

Provincetown's own Peter Ciluzzi, a featured artist on the Candyrat Records label, will perform for one night only at The Provincetown Theater, on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 8:00PM. Candyrat Records represents more than thirty musicians hailing from ten different countries, and features some of the finest guitar-based music from around the world.

Ciluzzi is a self-taught musician who has studied jazz and improvisational stylings, as well as classical composition, and has released two albums of original solo guitar music His music has been described as a distinctive and timeless sound that is both familiar and unexpected, defying easy categorization. Ciluzzi's music reflects a wide range of influences including jazz, rock, bluegrass, classical, and world music. He was raised in Provincetown, and took up guitar when he was a young child.

Ciluzzi has established an impressive presence on social media. His performance videos have accumulated millions of views on Youtube and in the last year he had over 4 million plays on Spotify. He was a finalist in the 2007 Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Competition, and has toured throughout the United States, sharing the stage with fellow guitarists such as Antoine Dufour (Canada), Pino Forastiere (Italy), and Gareth Pearson (Wales).

The broad nature of his musical interests also extends into guitar design and construction. He studied guitar making with Charles Fox at The American School of Lutherie in Portland, OR and following that, started Ciluzzi Guitars in a small Provincetown workshop in 2006. As a guitar maker, his work has been displayed at numerous exhibitions, including the Montreal Guitar Show.

The July 30 performance takes place at The Provincetown Theater located at 238 Bradford Street, Provincetown, MA.
