New Rep Announces 3 More Performances of FRANKIE AND JOHNNY 12/21

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is pleased to announce it has added three more performances of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, a comedy by Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally. Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune now runs through Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in the Black Box Theater.

Due to the immense popularity of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and the high demand for tickets, New Rep has added three additional performances on:

THE ARTISTS

Anne Gottlieb (Frankie) is happy to return to the New Rep. having played Agnes in Silence. She recently appeared as Catherine Givings in the hit production of In
the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) at SpeakEasy Stage Company. Other recent credits include: Not Enough Air, The Nora Theatre Company; Blithe Spirit
Lyric Stage Company; The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, Gloucester Stage Company. She was part of the award-winning Ensemble of Speakeasy stage company's The
Women and received the 2004 Independent Reviewer's of New England Award for her portrayal of Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra, Boston Theatre Works and
Emma in Betrayal, The Nora Theatre Company. In 2009, Anne's company, FortyMagnolias Productions co-produced the world premiere of The Wrestling Patient
with SpeakEasy and Boston Playwrights' Theatre. She is one of three co-creators of the piece and also appeared as Etty Hillesum, a writer whose diaries and letters
inspired the play. Anne teaches acting for the Michael Chekhov Association. She is a Resident Scholar in Collaborative Theatre at the Women's Studies Research
Center at Brandeis University.

Robert Pemberton (Johnny) is happy to be back working at New Rep, having just performed last season's Speed-the-Plow. Previous credits include: The Goat
(Gloucester Stage Company); The Random Carusoe (CentaStage); and Patriot Act (The Fringe Festival in Edinborough, Scotland). He has also recently played
Drazen in Ponies at Gloucester Stage Company, as well as Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Boston Theatre Works). He has been seen in Dinner With
Friends (Tom) at the GSC; Mercy Seat (Ben) at Lyric Stage; Woman in Black (Kipps) at Stoneham Theatre; Antony and Cleopatra (Antony) at Boston Theater
Works; Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick) at the Publick Theatre; and in the World Premiere of Shel's Shorts at the Market Theatre (2002 Elliot Norton Award).
He has also been seen at the Huntington Theatre; North Shore Music Theatre; Merrimack Repertory Theatre; SpeakEasy; Foothills Theatre; and The Nora, as well as
being a cast member in the long running Shear Madness at the Charles Theatre. Robert's most recent film work includes: By the Sea (nominated for a Latin Oscar);
Treading Water; Boondock Saints; The Exchange; Gentleman from Boston; Temps; The Still Point; The New England Connection; and Anathema. On the
smaller screen, he can be seen in a recurring role on Showtime's Brotherhood, as well as Another World; Guiding Light; Unsolved Mysteries; and in many local
and national commercial spots.
Terrence McNally (playwright) won Tony Awards for best play for Love! Valour! Compassion! and Master Class. In addition, Love! Valour! Compassion! won
the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Award, and the New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards for best play. His other plays include Corpus Christi, which was
named one of the best plays of 1998 by Time magazine; A Perfect Ganesh, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; The Lisbon Traviata;
Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and It's Only a Play. Earlier stage works include: Bad Habits, The Ritz, Where Has Tommy Flowers Gone?, and And
Things That Go Bump in the Night. He has written a number of television scripts, including Andre's Mother, for which he won an Emmy Award. Mr. McNally has
received two Guggenheim Fellowships, a Rockefeller grant, a Lucille Lortel Award, and a citation from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. A member of the
Dramatists Guild since 1970, Mr. McNally was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and makes his home in New York City.

Antonio Ocampo-Guzman (director) is thrilled to be doing his first play at New Rep with Anne and Bob. Antonio recently directed his own translation of García
Lorca's Blood Wedding at Northeastern University, where he serves on the faculty of the Department of Theatre. He directed The One Exception for the 1first
Tennessee Williams Festival in Provincetown as well as collaborated with performance artists Jeff McMahon (We Small Hours at Dixon Place, NYC) and Carlos
Manuel (La Vida Loca). International directing credits include Las Cuñadas at the Teatro Libre (Bogotá) and Death and the Maiden (Toronto). As an actor, he has
worked with the Actors Shakespeare Project, The Nora Theatre, Boston Playwrights Theatre and Shakespeare & Company, among others. A Designated Linklater
Master Teacher, Antonio has adapted this popular practice into Spanish and offers both bilingual and Spanish-only training and coaching here in the US, as well as
internationally. Antonio received his MFA in Directing from York University, Toronto.
