NAKED BOYS SINGING Returns To Provincetown 6/25
Naked Boys Singing, the international hit musical revue now in its 10th smash year Off-Broadway, returns to Provincetown summer 2009. Opening June 25th at the Post Office Café and Cabaret, Naked Boys Singing is a traditional musical revue, in the vein of Vaudeville and high-camp musical theater, which reminds us that clothes alone do not make the man! The show features six handsome "boys" of various body types with gorgeous voices, perfect comedic timing, and no clothing! With song titles ranging from "The Bliss of a Briss" to the culinary inspired "I Beat My Meat", Naked Boys Singing is 60 minutes of non-stop laughter!
This will be Naked Boys Singing 4th engagement in Provincetown. Produced and directed by Tom D'Angora and Michael Duling this production will follow on the heals on their blockbuster 2007 production, featuring a cast of New York's finest and freshest young talent.
Producer Tom D'Angora has had a long history with Naked Boys Singing starring in the highly controversial, and highly publicized, 2001 Provincetown production. In 2001 Naked Boys Singing performed within 500 feet from a church, violating an old blue law that prohibited nudity. Slapped with cease-and-desist orders at every performance the show created quite the stir! Despite the controversy the little nudie show that could DID! Naked Boys Singing managed to sell out the entire run, adding performances each week, it made national news with stories on CNN and other news networks, and eventually went before a packed town hall to win their case and get the laws rewritten!
