Happy Medium Theatre, Inc. (HMT) will present audiences with Boulevard of Broken Dreams, written and directed by Lesley Anne Moreau. The production runs August 12th - 20th at the Boston Playwrights' Theatre, 949 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215.

Five Hollywood actors who lived fast and died young meet unexpectedly in the afterlife. Iconic James Dean, legendary Marilyn Monroe, 2 time Oscar nominee Sal Mineo, child-star Heather O'Rourke, and actor/musician/animal rights activist River Phoenix must find the one unique thing they all have in common in order to escape the "No Exit"-esque room they have been exiled to beyond the grave.

The cast will feature: Kendall Aiguier (Miracle on 34th Street, Riverside Theatre Works), Mikey DiLoreto (MilkMilkLemonade, Heart & Dagger Productions), Nick Miller (On This Moon, Flat Earth Theatre), Kiki Samko (Crazy Locomotive, imaginary beasts), and Michael Underhill (The Country Club, Happy Medium Theatre). Ms. Moreau will be assisted by HMT Member, Mike Budwey.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT:
Lesley Anne Moreau has taken playwriting courses at both Suffolk University and Boston University. Past staged readings of her work include, When the Music Stops, Desperation, and It's All Relative. Her one act play, All Falls Down was produced at Suffolk University, which she also directed and earlier this year wrote The Forgotten Princess for Company One's Fringe Wars. Other directing credits include 100% of Josie T. (Boston Actors Theater) and Music From a Sparkling Planet (Happy Medium Theatre).

A HAPPY MEDIUM HISTORY:

The Happy Medium Theatre Company, Inc. (affectionately known as HMT) is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) arts organization and resident theatre company of The Factory Theatre. HMT is fiercely dedicated to bridging the gap between professionalism and fun in the Boston Theatre Scene.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams closes Happy Medium Theatre's already-successful and challenging second full-length season. HMT has been described by various circuits as "a gutsy new company" (Larry Stark) and "small, but solid" (Jenna Scherer). Our shows have also been hailed as "skin-tingling" and "uniformly excellent." Johnny Monsarrat of Boston Events Insider stated that our production of Sophie Klein's The Spitting Image was the "best show [he has] seen in the last year."

Happy Medium Theatre has even been afforded some wonderful reviews from such papers and online sites as: Edge Boston (Kilian Melloy and Kay Bourne), The Boston Herald (Jenna Scherer), Boston Events Insider (Johnny Monsarrat), Theater Mirror (Larry Stark), and The Jewish Advocate (Jules Becker).
