Moonbox Productions, nominated for numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, is thrilled to announce three exciting productions for its 2015-2016 season. In October, Moonbox kicks-off its season with its second annual, one night only, company cabaret entitled Decadence, Debauchery and Divas! The season continues in November with a spectacular production of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park and wraps up in April with the sexy jazz musical, The Wild Party, by Michael John LaChiusa and George C. Wolfe.

The fall cabaret, will take place at Club Oberon in Cambridge on October 19th from 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm. The comic musical revue, created and hosted by Moonbox stars Katie Anne Clark and Peter Mill, will be a one-night only event/fundraiser for Moonbox Productions and will feature more than 30 Boston-area stars performing musical theater favorites, with a special retrospective celebrating Moonbox's first five years.

From November 20th to December 12th, Moonbox will be at the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza Theatre for a production of Neil Simon's beloved romantic comedy, Barefoot in the Park. Produced by Sharman Altshuler and directed by Allison Choat, Barefoot in the Park tells the hilarious story of newlyweds Paul and Corie Bratter as they discover that settling in together will take far more work than just braving the five flights of stairs to their walk-up. With the help of an eccentric neighbor, an astute repairman, and Corie's long-suffering mother, Paul and Corie are about to find out what they'll do for love, from sleeping in the snow to walking barefoot in the park.

Moonbox will cap off its season April 15th to May 1st at the Boston Center for the Arts Roberts Studio Theatre with the jazz musical, The Wild Party. Produced by Sharman Altshuler and directed and choreographed by Rachel Bertone, this gritty, sexy musical tells the story of vaudeville vixen "Queenie" and the party she is throwing for her eclectic entourage of friends. The booze and flirtations flow freely, until the long night of debauchery leads to tragedy and the sobering reminder that no party lasts forever.

Throughout the 2015-2016 season Moonbox will continue its support of local non-profits by partnering with a different non-profit organization for each show, giving them greater visibility and helping them to increase the reach and impact of their work. Moonbox will also be expanding its community outreach by creating a Moonbox Youth Internship Program. The program will be geared toward Boston-area teens and will provide hands-on theater design and production experience.

"With nine productions under our belt, nine area non-profits enjoying a stronger connection to their community, and an ever-growing number of local artists joining the Moonbox family, I am extremely excited for our upcoming season," said Sharman Altshuler, Producer and Artistic Director for Moonbox Productions. "I am especially looking forward this year to expanding our programs and deepening our community connection by creating hands-on opportunities for Boston teens interested in the theater arts," said Altshuler.
