The Community Works Board of Directors has announced that Fran Froehlich will step down from her role as Executive Director of Community Works at the end of 2015.

The Board and Executive Committee are working with Fran to manage her transition effectively, and a personnel committee has been engaged to search for a new Executive Director. A job posting will be available soon.

We ask for your help in finding a new leader for Community Works who will both preserve the essential character of the organization while also adapting to new challenges and opportunities in building support and funding for more than 30 participating social justice organizations.

Fran has played an incredibly important role in bringing Community Works from an idea to a community institution that is Massachusetts only workplace giving federation that focuses on supporting social justice organizations. She co-founded Community Works in 1982, and has served as the organization's Executive Director since 2000. Throughout her tenure with Community Works, she has served as a tireless advocate for the combined social justice missions and impact of Community Works' member groups.

Fran's compassion and commitment as the key leader of Community Works will be sorely missed when she steps down at the end of the year.
In the coming months, we will be back in touch to invite you to join us in honoring Fran and ensuring that Community Works remains a vibrant and important leader in our struggle for social justice.
